The pot

Where the money goes, read from the contract rather than described. The pot is entry fees plus sponsorships and pays 60/30/10 to the podium; the protocol never takes anything out of it.

The league contract is not live yet

The policy below is the policy either way. The numbers appear as soon as there is a contract to read them from.

Protocol fee

On each buy and each sale. Capped at 1% in the contract.

Across 0 gameweeks.

Waiting to be pulled

Accrued inside the contract. Anyone may call pullFees.

Contract

Fees by gameweek

What the protocol fee collected in each gameweek, straight from feesCollected. Gameweeks that have not been played are folded into one line rather than printed as sixteen zeroes.

GameweekDatesFees collected
1Sep 14 – 18
Gameweeks 1–16 have not been playedSep 14 – Dec 31

Sponsorships

Every payment into a pot that was not an entry fee, with the transaction that made it. A sponsorship is returned to its sponsor if the league refunds.

Nothing to read yet.

The seeding policy

Six sentences, and they are the whole policy. Nothing here is a plan; each line is either enforced by the contract or it is a promise about which address presses which button.

  • Gameweeks 1 to 4: the treasury sponsors the Open League pot with $50, plus whatever the protocol fee collected the gameweek before.
  • From gameweek 5 onwards: fees collected in a gameweek are sponsored into the next gameweek's Open League. Nothing else is taken out.
  • The protocol fee is 0.5% of the USDG side of each buy at entry and each sale at cash-out. The contract caps it at 1% and it can never be raised beyond that.
  • Entry fees are not touched: 100% of every entry fee goes to the pot of the league it was paid into.
  • Fees accrue inside the contract and are pulled by the treasury with a call anyone may make, so a bad treasury address can never stop a manager entering, leaving or being paid.
  • Nothing is charged on a payout, on keeping your stocks, or on leaving before kick-off.
